November 28, 1966 – January 13, 2022 Passed away suddenly at his residence on Thursday January 13, 2022 at age 55. Predeceased by his wife Leisa (nee Hughes) Elwood. Loving son of Barbara (nee Donovan) and Robert Elwood. Dear brother of Kevin (Gail) Elwood, sister Valerie, predeceased by his sister Lorie. David will be missed by his nephews Mason & Luke Elwood. He will also be missed by his Aunt Roberta Spicer, Uncles Richard Elwood and Norman (Betty) Donovan. Dear cousin of Diane, Tanya, Jeremy, Kegian, Michael, Amy, Sean and Marlene, Sandra, Marc, Michael and Gillian. A true hockey fan for the Toronto Maple Leafs and Montreal Canadiens. Anyone who knew David, also knew not to call him while he was cheerleading for his favourite hockey team. When there was no hockey to occupy his time, he loved to fish and bicycle Collingwood. David always spent his days outdoors and evening relaxing with a cat always by his side. David’s immediate family gathered for a private visitation at the Chatterson Funeral Home, Collingwood. Cremation has taken place. A graveside service for family and friends will be held in the spring at Union Presbyterian Cemetery in Terra Cotta, Ontario.
