The Tree Society of Creemore and the Friends of the Mad River have joined with the Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Association and will be planting trees in the area on Saturday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to noon.
Come out to help plant native trees and shrubs along the banks of Temperance Creek in Clearview Township. Trees will help enhance fish and wildlife habitat, shade the stream, stabilize the banks and capture carbon!
What to expect:
An orientation and tree planting tutorial
This event will take place rain or shine but will be rescheduled if there is extreme weather.
Portable toilet will be available on site
Remember to Bring:
Closed toed shoes/rubber boots (SPRING IS MUDDY!)
Weather appropriate clothes (rain coat, hat, etc)
Sunscreen/bug spray
Water, Lunch, Snack
Work gloves if you have them (extras are available)
Students:
Remember to bring your community service volunteer form!
