Locals win big at Royal Winter Fair

Elm Lodge Kover Girl, owned by Doug Martin and Patsy Glover Martin of Morningcall Farm in Honeywood, won first in her heat and was named the division champion for Hereford Senior Female Calf at the 100th annual The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto on Nov. 5.

Creemore Farmers’ Market vendor Shawn Bell, of Doc Bells Hot Sauce Co, featured in the Oct. 21 edition of The Creemore Echo, also got a first place finish at The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair for his chipotle garlic hot sauce, in the mild category.
