Life is better with fresh garden veggies

Yes, I know it snowed this week and that it is April but it is time to think about a backyard vegetable garden or even some veggies among your flowers.
You haven’t really lived unless you have picked some beans an hour or so before your meal and cooked them quickly. And life isn’t really living unless you have some lettuce that you pick early, dewy fresh, wash and put in the fridge until lunch. Crunchy and delicious. And of course you need a tomato plant or two, maybe some beets and green onions.
There are seeds at Foodland and Home Hardware.
I love garden-fresh vegetables and you will too.
Helen Blackburn,
Creemore.
