Long-term consequences should be considered

 In Letters, Opinion

Editor:

Just remembered all the rhetoric back in 70s and early 80s about forests being cut and the need for plastic bags instead of paper sacks. Guess that wasnʼt clearly thought through.

Seems landfills have been having a great time ever since for that one. Maybe people in government and lobby groups should actually think of long-term consequences instead of pocketing money from groups with their own agenda?

Government is never an answer but usually the problem.

Mike Weir,

Creemore.
