Misdirected mail causes concern
Editor:
Since Canada Post, in its infinite bureaucratic wisdom, decided to send Mulmur mail through the Shelburne post office instead of Lisle I have received a steady stream of misdirected and undelivered mail.
Within the past week alone I have received two pieces of misdirected mail… wrong house number, wrong road, wrong postal code. You would think that someone might have noticed.
I have also failed to receive a piece of mail from an institutional sender in Toronto who assures me it was sent Oct. 19. It has yet to show by today’s date (Nov. 10).
I have called the Shelburne Post Office regarding this problem at least half a dozen times since they took over our mail delivery. Obviously my calls have had no effect.
I would ask all Mulmur residents who are experiencing similar issues to contact Shelburne and voice their displeasure.
Walter Sickinger,
Mulmur.
