Prison Break obstacle race returns to Mansfield

 In News

More than 2,000 jailbirds are expected in Mansfield next month.

The Prison Break obstacle race will be back at Mansfield Outdoor Centre on June 27.

The race concept is quite unique: You’ve been convicted for a crime you did not commit. Equipped with a belt and three flags, escapees must run a five-kilometre obstacle course while avoiding the prison guards roaming in 5 different zones. The race is accessible to anyone 14 and older looking for a fun challenge amongst friends or family.

The local community is invited to register early to run the race or to sign up as a volunteer.

The organizers need 100 volunteers and 100 prison guards to make the event a success.

Proudly Canadian, Prison Break has seen 16,000 prisoners escape since its first year (2013).

The Prison Break tour continues in Montreal July 11-12, Lower Saint-Lawrence on Aug. 1 and Quebec City Aug. 15-16.
