No one should have to worry about robbery
Editor:
Recent editions of The Echo have reported more incidents of crime in our village.
As someone who loves Creemore for its sense of community values, I confess to being concerned about the negative impact the increase in criminal activities by a few will have on our reputation as a great and safe place to live.
The break-in at our home last December was well covered by The Echo and a reward of $3,000 remains on offer for information leading to an arrest.
In a small community like ours, there are few secrets and I have little doubt that those involved in the growing cycle of crime are known to someone among us who could inform the police or Crime Stoppers.
All it takes is a phone call. In the interests of our community values, I hope we will see an end to destructive vandalism and thefts in Creemore.
None of us should have to worry about the security of our homes or suffer the awful sense of personal violation a home invasion and robbery leaves with the victim.
Rowland Fleming,
Creemore.
