Take a safari at the library over March Break

 In Events

It’s safari time at the Clearview Public Library over March Break (March 16-20).

Plan on joining us for a week of adventure, connection and exploration. One of the many events that we are presenting is a free drop in session on Thursday, March 19 with local author Laurie Vandenhurk, who will be reading from her collection of stories based on her time spent living and working in Tanzania. These stories will be presented in both English and Swahili at 10:30 a.m. at the Stayner Branch, 12:30 p.m. in the New Lowell Branch and 2:30 p.m. in the Creemore Branch. Meet tembo (elephant), greet simba (lion) and hang out with nyani (monkey) in this hour chock-full of East African storytelling, art activities and mapping discovery.

We welcome everyone to enjoy our full roster of organized activities throughout the week (registration required) at www. clearviewpubliclibrary.ca. The library is also hosting a very special edition of our weekly bingo scavenger hunt, colouring contest, jigsaw puzzle challenge and pop-up surprise displays celebrating the 10th anniversary of Simcoe County’s #ITSTARTS campaign (no registration required) from Saturday, March 14 to Sunday, March 22.
