Worried about appointed warden

 In Letters, Opinion

Editor:

I have very strong reservations about an appointed warden for the county.

There does seem to be a definite tendency to say that the ‘poor wee’ country folk don’t know what they really need.

Anyone we seem to elect in a democratic fashion appears to be discounted by the GTA gang.

That annoys me as much as skating judges saying we didn’t need gold level judges north of Highway 7 a long time ago.

When 16 new county councillors are in opposition to whatever the GTA crew proposes, does the appointed ‘party hack’ ignore the elected vote and go the way of what is wanted? A question for all of us to meditate on for a bit.

Maureen C McLeod,

Collingwood.
