Having started a fire, surprising complainants startled by the heat

 In Letters, Opinion

Editor:

I have been saddened by the recent controversy over the state of the fountain sculpture and its environs. In particular, it is surprising that the complainants, having started a fire, should be startled by the heat it generated.

My experience with important issues in Creemore is that they are best resolved through reasoned discussions between the parties involved. Sometimes, as in this case, the discussions are prolonged but the quality of the result usually reflects the care taken in the resolution process.

Let’s hope that those involved will return to this time tested approach.

Bill Mann,

Creemore.
