Remembering the rollout of the Avro Arrow

At this time, we will be remembering the rollout of the Avro Arrow in October 1957. Book your reservation for this free special event at www.avroarrow203.com. Entry times are at 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. (COVID-19 safety protocols are in place).
This combined celebration is being hosted by Edenvale Classic Aircraft Foundation (home of the Tiger Moth) and Edenvale Aviation Heritage Foundation (home of the Avro Arrow). The Clearview Public Library is also showcasing some of their extensive collection of World War II fiction and nonfiction materials at this location.
Do you have any photographs, mementos or stories about local aviation history that you wish to share with us? Please bring them with you. We would love to see and hear about them to make local history come “alive.”
Lee Anning (pictured) is our history enthusiast and our creator of our WWll media displays. Frieda Linke is our artist in action and the creator of our mural showcasing the airfield in action circa 1943. They will both be showcasing their talents with interactive displays this weekend at the ECAF museum.
If you cannot be with us this Saturday, please consider this your personal invitation to join us next Saturday, on Oct. 16, when our special guests include Base Borden Military Museum, The Stayner Heritage Society and the Wasaga Beach Historical Advisory Committee as we acknowledge Remembrance Day and the 100th anniversary of the Poppy.
