Cardinals win third tourney

The Creemore Cardinals 11U team won their third tournament of the year last weekend with a win over the host Vaughn Vikings. Three pool game wins over the Newmarket Hawks, Guelph Royals and Vaughn Vikings earned the team the first seed in the playoff round, and a bye to the semi-final. The Cardinals beat the Milton Mets in the semi-final by a score of 14-5 before prevailing in the championship by a score of 12-3 in a rematch with the Vaughn Vikings. This weekend the 11U Cardinals will be in Bracebridge for the 14th annual Muskoka Cup tournament.
