Gardening is a satisfying hobby

The snow is snowing and the wind is blowing but even if it is, it is time to think about springtime and a garden.

If you don’t have a vegetable garden this is my suggestion: start one this year. A small one to start will do. Don’t fret about the weeds. Just keep them from smothering the vegetables. Peas, beans and lettuce are

easy to grow. Beets are easy too. The small leaves are good salad greens, the larger ones make good cooked greens and the small beets of summer are sweet and tender. And don’t forget a tomato plant. Gardening is a satisfying hobby. It is also known as an aid for health and longevity. Be a gardener.
